Josh Drack is heading north, joining Portland Hearts of Pine, and with that, one of the more memorable pieces of Westchester SC’s inaugural season moves on.

From the jump, Boise dictated everything. Westchester sat deep, couldn’t get out, and when the ball did turn over, there was no outlet, no release, no ability to turn defense into anything resembling attack.

For one night, Memorial Field became the center of the soccer world in Westchester County. Not a hypothetical. Not “someday.” It happened.

Westchester SC kicked off the 2026 preseason with a convincing 3–0 win over Red Bull NY II, and the new boys wasted absolutely no time making themselves known.

This year the season is approaching like a Metro-North express, no stops, no hesitation, and everyone on the platform knows it is coming. And this time, Westchester and the 914th Infantry are locked in.

A league so afraid of structure, logic, and consequence that it managed to invent a month-long, best-of-three first round, only to then switch to single elimination.
