Preseason football is back in Westchester, and if today’s friendly was any indication, the buzz around this squad is very real.
Westchester SC kicked off the 2026 preseason with a convincing 3–0 win over Red Bull NY II, and the new boys wasted absolutely no time making themselves known. Daniel Burko, fresh into the side, announced himself with a brace, showing exactly why there’s been quiet excitement around his arrival. Fellow debutant Kyle Evans added a goal as well to cap off a composed, confident performance that felt far more midseason than early February.
Yes, it’s preseason.
Yes, it’s a friendly.
But performances like that matter.
What stood out most wasn’t just the scoreline, but the intent. Sharp movement, energy across the pitch, and a sense that this group understands what they’re building toward. This is a team that looks hungry. This is a team that looks like it believes.
And if the names are starting to sound familiar, that’s no accident.
Wear the Moment: Celebrate Westchester SC's New Arrivals
To mark the start of the campaign and celebrate the players already making noise, the 914th Infantry dropped a new fundraising shirt that says exactly what we’re all thinking:
Chazza & Tim-Tim & Burko & Miggy & Matty & Max.
We Got Next in ’26.
It’s simple. It’s bold. It’s for the supporters who were here early and the ones ready to back what’s coming next.
Every shirt sold helps fund supporter initiatives, displays, and matchday efforts throughout the season. More importantly, it’s a way to wear your belief in this squad before the rest of the league catches on.
Preseason has only just begun, but the message is already clear.
Westchester isn’t waiting its turn.
We got next.
